Based in King’s Lynn with c130 employees, PIL Membranes specialise in the development of polymer and membrane systems used by worldwide manufacturing companies in applications that require protection and comfort.

Background.

PIL Membranes was experiencing a period of growth resulting in an increase in hiring across multiple functions.

Recruitment was managed on an ad hoc basis, using both internal resources and external recruitment suppliers, with mixed results and variable costs. Hiring was becoming increasingly difficult due to low candidate availability against an increasing demand.

Advanced Talent Strategies had an initial meeting with Jerome Faissat, Managing Director of PIL Membranes, in February 2022. There was a clear appetite for PIL Membranes to have a single recruitment solution, moving from a transactional to a partnership approach, and to better market their strong ’employer value proposition’.

Outcome.

Following a successful trial, PIL Membranes engaged with Advanced Talent Strategies to manage all of their recruitment.

Combining compelling recruitment marketing with proactive candidate search, PIL Membranes have accessed higher-quality candidates not previously available to them.

Ten hires have been made across purchasing, human resources, engineering and production/operations, with 80% of candidates interviewed by PIL Membranes receiving job offers, compared to 20% previously.

A long-term recruitment partnership remains in place.
